Bottom-up Views: Rotations and steely Squares
Throwing the head back and having a look at things above can often open up quite interesting new perspectives. Two of suchlike perspectives recently came across me: in Berlin, and when travelling Hong Kong.
Basically my travel to Asia led me via Sydney to Vanuatu, followed by a ride through Indonesia. Starting point for that adventure was the Hong Kong based Chek Lap Kok Airport (); well, actually its departure hall, to be more precisely. The Australian school trip was quite flabbergasted when seeing me getting on my knees to take the most possible 16mm wide angle view of the wicked ceiling construction.
Some weeks later German news channel Phoenix invited to its 62nd panel discussion “Forum Pariser Platz”. The top-class talk show had been held at the rotunda of Dresdner Bank in Berlin () again. However and despite all secretaries and governmental people, the local spiral staircase is the actual star, even if it’s only an architectonical one. The May sunlight illuminated the whole ensemble making the staircase shining in the most different blue and green hues.
